Lamorinda Ready (“we,” “us,” “our”) operates the website at lamorindaready.com (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you visit or use the Site. It also describes your rights regarding your personal information under California law.

We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices. By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Policy.

C. Information Derived from Your Data

When you complete a Home Fire Readiness assessment, we compute scores and a readiness tier based on the home attributes you provide. These derived scores are stored alongside your profile data. If you opt into our provider matching features, your insurance status, readiness tier, and general location (city/ZIP) may be used to match you with relevant service providers. We do not store your home address.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Delivering Site features: Providing personalized content, assessment results, and recommendations based on your home profile
  • Newsletter delivery: Sending periodic newsletters about wildfire preparedness to subscribers
  • Provider matching: Connecting you with service providers if and when you provide explicit opt-in consent
  • Analytics and improvement: Understanding how visitors use the Site to improve content and features
  • Advertising measurement: Measuring the effectiveness of advertising campaigns (via Meta Pixel)
  • Communication: Responding to your inquiries and sending service-related communications
  • Security: Protecting against unauthorized access and ensuring Site integrity

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your personal information for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

Note on Meta Pixel: The Meta Pixel loads a third-party script from Meta Platforms, Inc. that may set additional cookies and transmit data to Meta's servers. This data is subject to Meta's own Data Policy. We use this pixel to measure advertising effectiveness.

Your California Privacy Rights

California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) / California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the CCPA/CPRA:

  1. Right to Know: You may request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources of that information, our business purposes for collecting it, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it.
  2. Right to Delete: You may request that we delete the personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions provided by law.
  3. Right to Correct: You may request that we correct inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.
  4. Right to Opt-Out of Sale/Sharing: We do not sell your personal information. We share limited data with Meta Platforms via the Meta Pixel for advertising measurement, which may constitute “sharing” under CPRA. You may opt out of this sharing (see “How to Exercise Your Rights” below).
  5. Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information: We do not use sensitive personal information for purposes beyond what is necessary to provide the services you request.
  6. Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights.

California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA)

In accordance with CalOPPA, we agree to the following:

  • Users can visit our Site anonymously (without creating an account)
  • This Privacy Policy is linked from our home page footer
  • Our Privacy Policy link includes the word “Privacy” and can be easily found on the home page
  • Users will be notified of any Privacy Policy changes on this page
  • Users can change their personal information by logging into their account or by contacting us

Do Not Track Signals

We do not currently respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals. However, Umami Analytics does not use cookies or track individual users across sites.

How to Exercise Your Rights

Everything is self-service from your dashboard — no emails, no waiting. Sign in and scroll to the Privacy & Data section:

  • Download your data: One click to export everything we have about you as a JSON file.
  • Delete your account: Permanently removes your profile, assessment, consents, and newsletter subscription. Immediate. No approval needed.
  • Revoke provider permissions: See every provider you've opted in to contact you. Revoke any of them instantly.
  • Turn off ad tracking: Toggle the Meta Pixel on or off. When off, only privacy-focused analytics (Umami) runs — no data goes to Meta.

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide the services you have requested or as required by law:

Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information, including:

  • Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
  • Row-level security on database tables (users can only access their own data)
  • Server-side-only access keys for administrative database operations
  • Authentication via Clerk, a SOC 2 compliant identity provider

No method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's Privacy

The Site is not directed to children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 16, we will promptly delete that information. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at lamorindaready@gmail.com.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
